Pets bring more than just joy; they offer emotional support and lower stress levels, contributing to overall well-being. This connection can be hard for non-pet owners to grasp. That’s why decisions impacting pets, like where they sleep at night, can be tough for their owners.
Take OP, a 31-year-old with a beloved dog she’s had since he was a pup. The dog, struggling with separation anxiety, always slept in OP’s room. But her boyfriend wasn’t a fan due to the occasional snoring and movements. He suggestes the dog sleep outside the room, but both OP and her furry friend feel distressed when apart.

1. Let’s find out!

2. OP’s dog always sleeps on his bed inside her room because he has separation anxiety.

3. However, OP’s boyfriend of 1 year hates her dog sleeping in the bedroom.

4. OP has tried to make her dog sleep outside the room on her boyfriend’s multiple requests in the past, but that has always resulted in the dog having anxiety attacks.

5. OP shared it would be unfair to give up on him during his time of need because he had alway been there during her time of need.

6. OP kept tried to cater to her boyfriend’s requests but she knew it was wrong as the dog should be her top priority.

7. According to OP, her dog makes minimal noise while sleeping as opposeed to what her boyfriend said.

8. After having some arguments with her boyfriend over this, OP gas started reconsidering their relationship.

I know the story is not complete yet but I would say OP is NTA, howevee with one condition. After reading what we have read so far, we know it is impossible for the dog to sleep away from OP. He has qn anxiety. So, the boyfriend will have to compensate one way or the other.
However, he is a sweet guy, as OP shared in her srory, so this compensation that I am talking about should be decided upon with mutual understanding from both ends. They need to sit and talk. They do not need to jump the gun and breakup.

9. OP is firm on her decision that her dog will sleep in her room.

10. OP made the internet happy by sharing the couple talked and they have mutually decided to let the dog sleep in the bedroon.

11. Both the dog and the boyfriend have been fine with each other.

12. Uptil the main story, it was a sad ending but the update converted it into a happy one.
