In the story we have for you guys today, Reddit user Flyron-Fist, a flight attendant, shared an amusing encounter that took place at RSW Airport. While grabbing a coffee in her uniform, OP was approached by a woman asking for directions to a smoking area. Unsure of the airport’s layout, OP suggested a possible location, only to be met with frustration from the woman. After clarifying that flight attendants are not airport employees and consulting the barista, they discovered the smoking area was just a short distance away.
Despite the polite explanation, the woman was annoyed and walked off, leaving OP

Imagine if the entitled lady had started the conversation with, “Excuse me? Are you an airport employee?”. OP would’ve said, “No, I am a flight attendant.”. The matter would have needed there and then, with the woman walking away to look for an airport employee and OP enjoying her coffee. I don’t know what it is with these entitled people who feel like they are being attacked if their request/demand is not fulfilled. OP guided the lady to a smoking area she knew of. That was the best she could’ve done. If the lady wasn’t satisfied, she should’ve simply approached someone else, like the barista who guided her to a closer smoking area.
When will entitled people ever learn…I don’t think that time is anywhere near.

I don’t think “mistaking” a person for someone else should be considered a “mistake.”. Humans have brains. An organ that they can use to easily evaluate who they are communicating to. Karens mistaking customers for employees is a bunch of BS. That is because you can easily ask who the person is before communicating with them. The lady could’ve asked OP if she was an airport employee before asking where the smoking area was. But she didn’t. She assumed. That’s what puts her in the wrong. Anything said or done beyond that point goes against that lady automatically.
