Boss Proposal

A wedding is an important occasion.

In a person’s life, it represents the start of a new chapter filled with love, commitment, and celebration. It’s a day full of emotions, traditions, and treasured memories that will last a lifetime. From the meticulous planning and preparation to the heartfelt vows exchanged, a wedding day is a significant milestone that represents the union of two people embarking on a lifelong journey together.

That is why it is probably not a good idea to propose to your partner on someone else’s wedding day. I understand that many people want to make it a surprise and romantic, but it is not acceptable to ruin another person’s wedding. Some may think I am exaggerating the situation, but people put a lot of effort into their wedding day and want it to be all about them. Of course, there is no harm in asking, but if they refuse, one should back off rather than try to make the people getting married feel bad.

You can see how, in his story, one person did exactly that. Scroll down to see for yourself.

A wedding is meant to be the union of two people, but it often brings drama.

Proposing to your partner at someone else’s wedding is not a good idea.

In this scenario, at least the boos asked OP whether he could propose at their wedding.

OP wasn’t completely horrified by the idea, but he knew his partner wasn’t a big fan of these kinds of stunts.

The OP rejected the boos outright, saying that he wasn’t comfortable with the idea.

Rather than accepting it, the boss got quite angry that OP didn’t even ask his wife.

The story doesn’t end there, as we get more information about what kind of person OP’s partner is.

OP clearly cares for his wife and wants to give her the best wedding possible.

After all the advice that OP got, he decided to tell his wife about the whole situation with the boss.

OP finally explained everything to his wife over dinner one day.

They thoroughly talked about their feelings and promised to be more open with each other from now on.

The boss did come to the wedding, but he thankfully didn’t cause any drama.

OP leaves us with a beautiful message about him having a great partner, and I hope only good things are in their future.

There is nothing wrong with the boss asking an employee who is also a friend if he will let him propose to his partner at his wedding. However, once the OP rejected the idea, the boss should have let it go. I believe that asking for something like this is a huge favour, and not everyone is comfortable with having someone else take centre stage at their wedding. However, I’m relieved that the entire ordeal only strengthened OP and his partner’s relationship. They appear to be a healthy couple, and I wish them nothing but the best in the future.

I also hope that they are one happy family!

There is still good left in the world.

I am sure he behaved because he knew he would be in a mess otherwise.

Every wedding needs people who are on duty.

This is what a healthy relationship looks like.

This is what being a good listener means!

We can all only hope that we meet our person as well.

What are your thoughts on how OP dealt with the situation? Would you have done anything differently if you were in the OP’s position? I believe the OP handled the situation admirably, and I would not have done anything differently if I were in their position.
