A few things can go awfully wrong due to language barriers…

We love our pets. And we love keeping them well groomed. Grooming is an essential process. You might also think that grooming isn’t that big of a deal because after all the fur coat looks in great condition! So why bother? Well, this attitude is a little concerning because even if the fur seems fine, your little pupper still needs to be groomed!

After all, who doesn’t like a neat, clean and a well-groomed doggo? (Looking good now, feeling good later). Keeping your dogs health in check is very important & so is keeping the fur free of knots. This will help you and your pooch from future troubles.

Here, we have a story of a British man who just wants to get his dog a nice and fine haircut. But turns out the groomer is Chinese! And guess what? Brit man couldnt speak chinese. What happens next is incredibly hilarious. Seren, the pup had a very intensive haircutting session with this chinese groomer.

The result is just mind boggling!

This poor dogo, just wanted some trimming but what happened next is really hilarious. Seren, a German Shepherd cross was taken for a haircut. His owner Leigh Simmons, 27, took Seren to the hair groomer on a sunday evening in Shenzen. Simmons has been working in China from the past 7 months and one can certainly not learn Chinese in just 7 months! So, Simmons didn’t really have a hold on the language and he couldn’t really explain the hair dresser what he really wanted for the dog.

Unfortunately his explanation wasn’t really effective. “Buzzing” sound and directions through gestures weren’t a really good way of explaining what Simmons wanted for Seren.

Simmons, originally from near Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales, adopted the dog after finding him roaming the streets. Simmons seems to be a nice human being as he knows adoption is the best option.

Seren looked like this before the haircut,

Simmons told in an interview, that “I wanted to shave the dog for the summer. It’s really hot here at the moment.”

“The woman spoke no English and I speak very, very little Chinese. I ended up miming shaving the dog and I made a ‘bzzz’ sound. The woman nodded and told me to come back at 4.”

Well, Simmons didn’t expect what was coming his way. He was all excited to go and collect his lovely Keren. What he saw next, he couldn’t control his laughter. To put it precisely, it was a mixture of joy and sorrow, that he felt.

“I came back and saw the dog and just started laughing hysterically. I could barely stand up, I was laughing so much.”

Reaction from the hair groomer was also exceptional.

“The poor women working there were so confused. They looked embarrassed, like they were worried I wasn’t going to pay them. But I did. It cost me roughly £10.”

This specific haircut is really famous in Shenzen. Which is why the hair groomer decided to give that haircut to Keren. Simmons also added, “Everyone in China has a poodle. Lots of them have this style. I just didn’t think at the time that the French poodle look that you see in films was the standard model for shaving dogs out here.”

Don’t worry, it’s just hair Keren, it will grow back!

It’s important to love your pet in every way and Simmons knows that. He is very appreciative and caring towards Keren, which is truly great! Keren is blessed to have such a loving owner.
