Dogs are awesome and all, but the question is which one would be the best for us? All dogs have their own distinct personality and characteristics. Their breed sure does play an important role in determining those qualities and help us pick the one that matches our own personality and lifestyle. It’s just like saying we become friends with people who we share some commonalities with. These commonalities can be having same opinions, likes and dislikes. Sometimes we share the same lifestyle with our friends. After all, these are the things that hold us together and help us adjust with others nicely.

That’s why it is important to see if the dog we’re about to adopt, able to adjust in our lifestyle or not. Let’s say if a person has a sedentary lifestyle, then they should go for a dog breed that doesn’t require much exercise and likes to spend most of their time indoors. Such a dog would adjust just right with the person. Since researching is a pretty hectic job, artist Grace Gogarty came up with an inventive comic idea of preparing a dog guide for those who are planning to adopt one. Here are 10 hysterical illustrations from the dog guide comic strip by Gogarty that you should not miss out on. Scroll down to check them out.

Meet Grace Gogarty and her adorable pupper.

Grace Gogarty is also known as Little Tunny is an extremely talented artist based in St. Louis, United States. She’s always been a huge fan of comics and have been drawing some of her own since she was a kid. On top of that she has a special love that became one of the basis for developing this amazing comic strip. She wrote about all the dogs she personally met and observed. In an interview she said:

“I’ve been drawing comics since I was a kid. I absolutely love animals, so that’s usually my focus! I worked as a supervisor at a doggy daycare for years and got to meet lots of dogs. The cartoon dogs featured in this guide are the breeds I met the most of. Sadly, I haven’t met every dog in the word yet so that I couldn’t write about them all. Although I stereotype them, all dogs are wonderful individuals, so I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite breed!”

She also owns a dog, but she’s unsure of its true breed. Since there are still so many more dogs for her to explore. Here’s what she said about her doggo:

“His Name is Huey, and he is an enigma. We have no idea what kind of breeds he’s comprised of!”

#1 Dobermann

#2 German Shepherd

#3 Husky

#4 Pug

#5 Rottweiler

#6 Labs

#7 Pittbulls

#8 Great Dane
