Nepeta cataria is a perennial herb from the mint family which is also commonly known as Catnip. It is a plant that makes cats exhibit strange but extremely cute behaviors. It is said that the term ‘Catnip’ originated from the response cats usually show after sniffing the plant. They roll, jump, rub their heads and bodies, they literally bathe in catnip. They just love it so much.

Catnip’s high only lasts for 10 minutes maximum on cats. After those 10 minutes, cats become immune to catnip for 30 minutes. I mean, that is so fascinating! All of these photographs of cats high on catnip were so beautiful and adorable, I could not stop grinning for a minute! They were all extremely cute and dainty. It looked like they were really enjoying their time. Besides that, I must praise how beautiful the photography was. I have never given my cats a catnip but after looking at these cats’ hilarious expressions and weird behaviors I am totally planning on doing that later.
