These cats are living their best lives.

Nepeta cataria is a perennial herb from the mint family which is also commonly known as Catnip. It is a plant that makes cats exhibit strange but extremely cute behaviors. It is said that the term ‘Catnip’ originated from the response cats usually show after sniffing the plant. They roll, jump, rub their heads and bodies, they literally bathe in catnip. They just love it so much.

This beautiful cat named Melchett, his siblings and his neighborhood cats love rolling in some catnip and Melchett’s owner loves to take photographs of them because of how fascinating she finds cats. Catnip’s high only lasts for 10 minutes maximum on cats. After those 10 minutes, cats become immune to catnip for 30 minutes. I mean, that is so fascinating! It looked like they were really enjoying their time. Besides that, I must praise how beautiful the photography was.
