We need more heroes like these.

Animal cruelty is a huge problem around the world. It usually goes unreported, because the creatures that are the victims of this cruelty don’t have a voice of their own. They can’t tell people what’s happening to them. They can’t seek help on their own or stand up for themselves. Humans mistreat animals a lot, and it is sad that this is very common everywhere. So, who is going to stand up for these little babies and fight for their rights?

A group of heavily tattooed and muscled bikers have dedicated their lives to rescuing animals from their cruel owners. These bikers may look very tough and scary, but they have a soft spot for animals.

This is why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

The group is called Rescue Ink.

It is basically a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 in New York. It comprises of volunteers that are bikers, bodybuilders, former military personnel, powerlifters, policemen, and lawyers. They were very active during the years 2008 till 2014, in which they rescued several dogs, cats, pigs, chicken, horses, and fish.

The police are usually helpless in some animal cruelty cases. They are unable to get custody of the animal from their evil owners. That’s where the group jumps in. Due to their scary looks and huge bodies, they simply ask the owner to hand over the animal. It doesn’t matter if the owner wants to hand them over or not, because, by the looks of these guys, they aren’t going to risk it with a “no.”

The group also collaborates with different animal shelters to provide them with rehabilitation and get them a healthy new home.

Even though this group deserves a lot of praise and appreciation, they don’t want to be considered “heroes.” They are actually very down to earth. “Some people like to think of us as superheroes. The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”

You don’t see a lot of people standing up for animals. These guys deserve some appreciation. Show them some love in the comments below!
