This story is about Buttercup & Westley – two tiny adorable kittens who were rescued from a trash can by a girl named Cathy McCaughan. This story expresses the in-depth feelings of how a stray animal becomes part of our family.
One day, Cathy heard noises coming from the trash can, upon squeaking inside the bag, she found two little kittens meowing. She rushed towards the trash can to rescue those babies and tried to do everything she could do to save their lives. The kittens were so tiny, weak, and malnourished, it was hard to save them. It felt like something else was written about their fate.
Cathy rescued them and took good care of little four-legged kitties. She took care of kittens like her own babies. The babies were tiny and weak so she fed them through the syringe, spent sleepless nights, and gave proper medication so the tiny kittens recover soon. Cathy made sure to keep them warm and cozy so they would start getting better. She felt emotionally attached to them, so Cathy started calling her kittens Buttercup and Westley.
Adopting these two furries was the best decision she could make. Her existing pets got buddies. Yes! you read it right. Cathy owned other pets as well: Gimli – her cat, and Molley – her dog. Buttercup and Westley started getting better and Cathy became less anxious. She was happy that her kittens are becoming healthy. She was already attached to them. Obviously! who doesn’t get attached to little babies. Well, the days went by, and the kittens started eating on their own and started walking on their own.
Cathy shared: “I love these furballs. I love them for fighting so hard when all of the odds were against them. I love the way they crawl to my face for kisses,”
