Artists devote their lives to creating beauty and inspiring thought through their work, but they frequently fail to receive the recognition and compensation they deserve. Despite the enormous impact art has on society, artists are frequently undervalued and underpaid for their efforts. It is time to recognise the value of artists and provide them with the respect and resources they require to thrive. When I talk about art, I don’t only mean painting; I also mean writing or music. For me, all of this is considered an art form.
Artists are frequently approached with requests to produce work without being fairly compensated. Working for free, whether as a promise of exposure or because the artist should be grateful for the opportunity, is a common struggle in the creative industry. This topic raises important questions about the value of art, the significance of fair compensation, and the difficulties that artists face in balancing their passion with financial security. However, when a childhood bully approached one musician, they weren’t having it.

It is critical for artists to stand up for themselves and their worth. However, this may not always be possible if you lack confidence in your own work. It is critical for artists to establish boundaries and advocate for themselves, even in difficult circumstances. Artists can help shift the industry towards fair compensation and recognition by asserting their own value and worth.
This type of thinking cannot be changed by a single person, but stories like the one we’re reading demonstrate to creative people all over the world that they are valuable and that what they do deserves respect and fair compensation.
