I mean, just look at them. Who can say no to these adorable little babies? They are cute, furry, cuddly, they take all your sadness away, they love playing with their owners, and they also teach you how to handle responsibility. Shouldn’t those be enough reasons? However, some people still aren’t convinced and they just need a little push or some motivation to get up, go to a shelter, and adopt one of these lovable little furballs. If you haven’t yet, trust me you are missing out on a lot.
Life with cats might be a rollercoaster ride, but it is definitely worth it. When you are cuddled up with them at the end of the day, you will be glad you made the decision to make them a part of your family. Both you and your cat will be really lucky to have each other. Trust me on that. However, if you still need a little more motivation, scroll down below to see some adorable cat posts by the Twitter account “Why you should have a cat” and maybe it’ll make up your mind. Enjoy.

If you do choose to get a cat, ASPCA recommends that you buy good quality cat food and consult a vet to give you a proper diet plan for your fur baby as it should be according to their age, health, and physical activity. You will also need to groom your cat. They don’t usually need baths as they tend to clean themselves often, but you should brush their fur coat every day so it will reduce shedding and hairball incidents.
Outdoor cats tend to live shorter than indoor cats. That is obviously because they are more prone to disease, accidents, and getting into fights with other animals. So if you keep your cat indoors, you will have to get it a nice, clean, and dry space to sleep. You should probably get them a bed with a soft lining or blanket to provide them with comfort. Make sure to wash their bed every now and then as well.
Indoor cats also need a litter box. Where else would you expect them to poop? You wouldn’t want them to leave a surprise for you on the couch, do you? You need to keep the litter clean and scoop things out as cats won’t use very dirty litter boxes. Try not to move them from place to place very often too. If you have to, do it a little space at a time so your cat can get used to it. If you have more than one floor in your house, you should probably keep a litter box on each floor that is easily accessible for your cat.
Are you convinced or not? I already have three cats, but if I were you, I’d go running to the nearest shelter. This is too pure to miss in life. Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
