In the everyday world of office cubicles and coffee breaks, one employee stands out like a bright light in a dull room. Meet Lori, the queen of internet culture. She speaks in doggo lingo, shares obscure references, and repeats online jokes, mimicking websites like Reddit, Tumblr, Mumsnet, etc.
But when her coworkers started to avoid her like she’s a viral meme, one brave person, Reddit user verydetaileddevil, decided to talk to her. What happened next was a clash between the digital world and real life.

1. Someone got a reality check at work. Let’s dive in!
2. Lori, OP’s coworker, joined work when the work-from-home policy was implemented, so no one really got to know about her true personality.
3. In the group chat, though, OP noticed Lori repeat a pattern. Her sentences and way of talking would mimic what we see on Reddit and all other social media websites.
4. Once everyone returned back to the physical setup, OP realized Lori was the same in real life too.
5. She would literally use Reddit titles to showcase her love for dogs. Wow.
6. She even offended a coworker who had a cat with her Reddit statements by saying she didn’t trust people who didn’t like dogs.
I think Lori needs a doctor. Don’t take me the wrong way here, but she might have a condition that is making her speak or behave in this specific way. Even if this was acceptable to the people around her, I still think reacting “ugh” to a coworker who had a cat instead of a dog was extremely rude. If I were the boss or a team leader in a company, I wouldn’t want such unprofessional people wasting our time.

7. People started avoiding Lori after that incident, and she genuinely had no clue why this was happening.
8. That is when OP decided to do the needful and tell her exactly why all coworkers had started maintaining a space with her.
9. He told Lori everyone considered her a replica of a Reddit meme page and that no one liked her standardized Reddit jokes.
10. You guessed it. Lori didn’t take this well and actually went on leave for a few days, only to return as a much quieter person.
