Man Wants Wife To Get Up Early On Weekends To Feed The Cat, Drama Ensues

Some cats are more habit-forming than others. Also, after kittens become accustomed to a particular meal time, they will start meowing constantly if they are late. Dogs have owners, and cats have staff, as someone once stated. But we are all accustomed to it because it is a feature of their charm (made peace with it, more likely). In today’s tale, a household cat refuses to accept that its parents often sleep in on the weekends. It wouldn’t really care otherwise, but their napping disrupts its eating schedule. Where is my food, humans? That’s probably what it’s saying, but try to imagine it speaking in the high-pitched cat. Moreover, hearing it on a weekend at 6 a.m.

Some cats are more habit-forming than others. Also, after kittens become accustomed to a particular meal time, they will start meowing constantly if they are late. Dogs have owners, and cats have staff, as someone once stated. The obvious response must be an automatic feeder, right? Well, the OP’s wife is opposed to the notion for a number of really absurd (to a cat person) reasons. Thus, our OP issued her with a deadline.

The OP’s wife and he own cat. Moreover, it adapted to rather rigid feeding regimen.

Because the OP’s wife wakes up early to feed it, workdays are not a problem. Weekends, however, provide challenges.

This is when the plot twists.

The wife of the OP listed her objections to the automatic feeder.

And the justifications aren’t truly true.

OP then issued her with a command:

This was a fun story, I guess. It was made much funny by the comments left by other Redditors. We wager that the OP is now feeling better and that he is not the only one who is experiencing this issue. Yet it doesn’t make a difference. Making a strategy that works for both of them—perhaps leaving food out for the cat in the evening is what he and his wife should do. If the cat doesn’t exhibit a predisposition to overeat, it might work. Yet, it appears that the real problem is that the wife enjoys feeding the cat and watching it smile when it receives food. Truth be said, we don’t get to observe our cats’ feelings very often.
