Cats are usually not that big when it comes to size. And that is what makes them the perfect pet. They don’t need much space, neither do they need to go on walks. However, if you are looking for something different, that is where Mainecoons come in. Not only are they giant and fluffy but they can also be more active than other cat breeds. So if you want a dog but one that looks like a kitty, Mainecoons might be your best bet. You really are getting the best of both worlds with these lovable giants. 

And while we all know cats are natural-born predators, there is no need to fear these big kitties. Because even if they’re bigger than other cats, it just means there is more of them to love and nothing else. They are actually quite gentle and playful so you never have to worry about them getting aggressive unless you’re trying to hurt them. But what monster would lay a finger on these beauties?

Mainecoons actually used to be hunters in the old days and thus they have retained their size even today while losing their ferocity. This means you can actually take your kitty on walks if you want. I am not saying every mainecoon would be fine with this but many are and they actually enjoy it. You can also spot a mainecoon from a mile away from their tell-tale fluffy ears and beard-like coat of fur.
