Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself.

I know it seems like a simple thing to do but it can be quite a bit harder than it sounds. After all, a lot of people just don’t like any kind of confrontation and this can hold them back from getting the things they rightly deserve. We see this kind of behavior a lot when it comes to employees. Even if they think, they deserve a raise, they’re too afraid to demand a raise and stick with the same job because of some loyalty even if the company doesn’t really care about them.

It seems a lot of companies these days see employees as an expense rather than an asset even though they should definitely change their outlook. However, this has caused an uproar in people and a lot of people are standing up for themselves, especially after the fiasco that was the past few years in the economic sense. That is why it is always quite un to read stories like these where the employees aren’t afraid to ask for what they need and will leave if they don’t get it.

Thi story starts with this person asking for a raise which they think they rightly deserve.

However, the boss wasn’t having any of it and the most that he could do was 5% which wasn’t what this employee had asked for.

So they quit and a lot of other employees did the same thing leaving them short-staffed in the long run.

I understand why so many people asked for the number of recruiters but I also get why this person isn’t willing to share it with the people on the Internet. After all, you never know what anyone is thinking when it comes to the Internet. However, I am glad that these people managed to find a job that respects them enough to give them the salary they deserve. Especially in an era where employees are paid pennies, these kinds of stories are needed for everyone to realize that they deserve more.

If the company had only done what was needed, none of this would have happened.

I hope the company learns its lesson but I doubt it will happen.
