Apparently, the reason behind cats lounging in confined places is because they feel safe and protected in there. They feel comfortable if the sides of the box or container are touching their bodies. This makes them believe that they are safe from the predator and it can’t catch them in that place. Interesting, right?

Cats have flexible spines and bodies that help them to fit in the tiny spaces. And no matter how expensive cat bed you have brought home, it will prefer to sit in box after finding it. It can be any box; a pizza box, card box or a shoe box, they don’t care about it at all. The other places where you can find your cat sitting might be bathroom sinks, baskets, kitchen bowls or in a flower vase. Honestly, it can be anywhere, lol.
