You can’t just leave a helpless animal on the street on its own.
Animals need a place they can call home and a family that can look after them. Even though it is survival of the fittest in nature, but if you can rescue a dying animal, why wouldn’t you take up the opportunity? The animal will repay you for saving its life by giving you so much love and affection that you will feel fulfilled in life. Adoption not only changes the animal’s life but it will change your life for the better as well. Adopting an animal isn’t easy. It is like raising a child. You have to take care of all its needs. You need to groom them, feed them, care for their health and most importantly, love them. They will need your time and attention and after a while, you will realise that you need them too.
I’m not lying when I say that adopting an animal can really pull a 180 on their life. Animals have amazing glow ups and you won’t be able to recognise them after caring for them for a couple of months. If you don’t believe me, scroll down below to see some animal transformations before and after adoption:
“This is River. At the shelter, he was shaved as his fur was extremely matted and riddled with fleas. He had coccidia and conjunctivitis. After some medicine and TLC, he’s doing amazing! He’s the most loving and affectionate kitty ever, always snuggling up and kissing me! I’ve had him for 4 months.”
“Miley, who came to me as a hospice foster dog since she wasn’t expected to live and we just wanted to make her comfortable. This is her, a year and a half later!”
“2 years ago today I walked into a Petsmart and met a cat named Sonny who no one would adopt because he was 13 years old, covered in fleas, underweight, and had a mouth full of rotten teeth that had to be removed. He came home with me that night and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
Do you see how different these animals look after being cared for? They had so much potential but they were being wasted on the streets. The people who adopted or rescued them are heroes and deserve to be appreciated. Always trust a person that has a soft spot for animals. We still have more before and after transformations to show you. Scroll down below to see them:
“When I found Fred on the side of the road he was skittish, neurotic, and sweet as could be. One month later he’s still all those things, but now he’s fat too. Love him more every day.”
“This little guy was a stray before being picked up by an animal shelter. I adopted Teddy in April and he’s learning what it’s like to be safe, warm and loved.”
