Our cats sometimes act strangely and leave us guessing. However, we just find it easy to ignore their behaviour and assume instead. We never try to understand our beloved pets. The truth is, just like we adore cats and can’t imagine a world without them, they also love us back. We are the centre of their universe and they will do everything in their power to keep us protected against all the unseen dangers. Cats have a strong sense of hearing and smell. On top of that, they are blessed with very sharp reflexes that help them sense the unexpected dangers around them and fight back. Not to mention, cats have an amazing night vision, so there’s no way anything is getting past them.

But we just assume our cats are acting weird for no reason and never try to find out why. So, to show you the other side of the picture, here are 11 illustrations that will help you understand your cat.

After seeing them you will probably never look at your cat the same way. Check it out below!

Birds, mice, insects and anything that a cat can jump and catch is its prey. Now, their prey is most definitely a threat to the mankind so they much protects humans at all costs. Cats have a habit of quietly sitting and stalking random objects or may we say potential preys. When the time is right and the target is in a vulnerable position, they attack it. This behaviour is not learned yet it is in every cat’s DNA. That’s just how they’re programmed. Before domestication, cats were wild animals. They had to hunt for food that is now being served to them in cat bowls.

How can we say this animal is selfish? In fact, cats are selfless, just a little hyper at times, but mostly selfless. They are just trying to take care of us in little ways with their little paws. How did we miss this?! Cats have a motherly nature. If a cat mama can raise her kitten, puppies, cubs, chickens and whatnot, why would they even consider harming a human? Why wouldn’t they care?

Humans are more than just a source of food for cats. They value the love and attention we give them and in return, they care for us and nurture us in ways we can’t even explain. Cats are close kin of lion, tiger and all those crazy big cats out there. If you raise a cub into a teen and nurture it with love and compassion. Later, if u let it go and cross paths with it again after many years, it will still recognize you. It will not only greet you warmly but also spare your life in case of extreme hunger. Cats are just like that. They love you unconditionally.

Cats have days when they don’t want to be bothered and being touched is a strict NO. After all that loving and caring, they need some time alone. Which is quite understandable.

“You like ASMR hooman? I see you watching videos all day. Check this out! Live ASMR.”

“I see you’ve been working too much lately. I suppose it’s time you take a little break and I will make sure that you do. Your health and well being is my priority after all.”
