These people need to learn how to parent.

Because they are certainly not very good at it and they’re only making it worse for their child. We all know losing a pet can be extremely hard and that’s when you know what’s coming and are ready for the end. However, anyone would feel robbed when they realize their cat died without them there which is a horrible thing to experience for anyone who loves their cat.

Why? Because your parents thought it was a good idea to ‘ut down’ the cat without even letting you say your goodbyes. Not even as much as calling you so you know what’s happening. No one ever said that the best way to tell someone their pet has died is by springing it on them when they saw the cat moments ago.

Although these parents think what they did was right. So this Reddit user posted the whole situation on a thread called ‘Am I The A**hole?’ And many people replied.

So scroll below and take a look at this story.

Spoiler Alert: By the majority, this Reddit user is the a**hole.

So you simply asked your parents to do you a favor. Sounds innocent enough.

Only that it turned out to be the wrong decision.

Since they couldn’t care less about what their kid was going through.

It’s never just a cat.

Parents come back and let themselves in. I open the door to my mother sobbing and my father slinking in the corner. Turns out the vet found a large mass on his Kidney and suspected it was stage 3-4 cancer. So my parents, without calling me, had him put down to “spare my feelings”.

Who does that? Even if it was cancer, she deserved to know. Hell, she had the right to know before the parents could do anything. And they robbed her goodbye. Now she will regret this for the rest of her life and her parents are none the wiser.

People had a lot to say about the scenario.

And most of it was about how she is the a**hole.

Many were even a bit suspicious of the parents and the vet.

Can’t say I blame them, the story does seem to be a bit dubious.

And who likes to accept that they have a problem?

You just don’t.

How the hell is it ‘beautiful’?

This person has it right.

We are all sorry for her loss.

It does seem a bit ‘out there’.
