It is not a decent act that you start using a machine right next to a woman. Guys should know that it makes women uncomfortable. Make public spaces comfortable for women. This lady goes to the gym in the evening because it is not claustrophobic in the evening. One evening, the gym was empty and the row of elliptical machines was empty. OP was using the elliptical machine at the end of the row. She just started her workout and a guy came and got on the elliptical right next to her. The woman got uncomfortable and shortened her workout. She stopped and went to take a wipe. She was wiping down the machine when this guy stopped her and called her out for shortening her workout. Scroll down to read what he said to her.

A gym is a place for everyone and everyone has the right to use it but there is a moral obligation on all of us to not make others uncomfortable. The whole gym was empty but this guy chose to use the elliptical right next to OP and then he has the audacity to call her out. OP did not call him a predator, he called himself a predator. It’s weird why he would bring that conversation in? If the guy did not intentionally choose the elliptical right next to OP then he should also have not noticed OP leaving.
