Neighbor Gets What He Deserves After Going Over His Property Line

Neighbours do not always follow the rules.

I’m sure we’ve all had to deal with neighbours who break the rules at random and don’t care unless they get caught. They don’t care who gets shafted by them as long as they get what they want. And this is precisely what is happening in this case. This guy, you see, built a shed right on his neighbour’s property line without asking or informing them. It wasn’t like it was an oversight. Who doesn’t know where their property line is? It’s clear he wanted a shed and did whatever he wanted.

But the story’s poster wasn’t about to let him off the hook so easily, so he obviously spoke with him. However, he refused to move the shed, and they were not going to reach a peaceful conclusion until the poster’s wife intervened. She had a good grasp of the situation and decided to make something of it all. And whether or not you believe the compensation was fair is entirely up to you.

The title is much simpler than the actual story.

It was quite a surprise for him to come home and see that his neighbour had built a shed.

He tried to talk to the guy but he said that he couldn’t move it at all.

And that was when the neighbour asked to buy the property in question so that he didn’t have to move the shed.

His wife was ready to jump on the chance and asked the neighbour for the exact amount she needed for a fridge.

Not only that but he also had to pay for other things relating to the property.

The poster also later addressed some of the most common questions people had in the comments.

He clarifies that he got way more than what the property was actually worth.

While I understand that he had to pay a high price for the refrigerator, I’m curious if he now legally owns that portion of the property. because that does not seem like adequate compensation. After all, property prices tend to inflate significantly, whereas technology does not. So I can only hope that the wife knew what she was doing when she asked for a refrigerator in exchange for his property use.

I wouldn’t really call this extorting.

He did get the land but he had to pay way more than what it was worth.

In the long run, this may not be great but for now, it works.

At the end of the day, everyone got what they wanted.

And it is always nice to see people stand up for themselves.
