Disney Princesses finally get their long-awaited glow ups.

I know what you’re thinking. ‘Ugh, another Disney reimaginations? What is up with people rehashing an already over-used thing?’ I totally agree with that sentiment. However, we have to understand that Disney has made a huge splash in the art community. And many people love to recreate their art style with a unique twist.

That is what this artist wants to do. She revamps Disney princesses portraying them as modern-day women but staying within the Disney art style. While I am well aware most people are not big fans of Tik Tok and would rather not use it. And although this artist does use Tik Tok to show her little art videos, she is actually quite talented.

The brain behind this project is a 29-year-old artist named Yudelmis San Emeterio. She shows how Disney princesses would like if they had a modern-day ‘glow up’.

This is the artist herself more commonly known as Yudie.

#1 First we have Belle and not a lot has changed.

When I saw people giving makeovers to Disney characters, I couldn’t help myself! My main goal with my videos is to keep the changes in the transformation as close as possible to the style and texture of the original art.

Other than her hair, dress, and a bit of makeup not a lot has changed. You will see below that it is a bit of a running theme in all of these.

#2 Then we have Mulan.

I am not sure about this one. Wasn’t Mulan supposed to be against the idea of feminine beauty? Why not go a bit androgynous?

#3 How could we forget Tiana?

She looks very pretty but wouldn’t green be a more appropriate color for her?

#4 Now we have Jasmine.

She looks absolutely beautiful but her eye makeup is a bit too harsh for the look.

#5 Then we have Rapunzel.

So she basically turned her into Ariana Grande?

#6 Cinderella finally has ears!

This one might even be better than the original.

#7 Jane might not be a princess but why not include her?

She does look very cute with short hair.

The artist also likes to draw her full sketches and she is very talented.

She has even tried remaking herself in the image of a cartoon.

As you can imagine, she has amassed a sizable following.

And people love her work. For good reason as well.

What do you think of these glow ups? Do you think she did these characters justice? Comment down below and let us know.
