How much money is considered “enough”?

The current minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. Do you think that is enough to make a living? Is it enough to pay rent, utility bills, and to afford food and gas? Barely. And you can clearly see people who are earning about the minimum wage live a more relaxed life.

You shouldn’t have to “barely make it” if you’re a hard-working person. You deserve better than that. But how much money would be enough to live a comfortable life? Well, some people on Twitter thought the minimum living wage is enough. And boy, was he proven wrong. Read the thread down below:

This was the original post that caused a stir.

So this guy tried to show off his “intelligence” by calculating how much a person makes a month living on minimum wage.

He was quickly proven wrong with the right calculations that included factors like taxes.

What people don’t understand is that living hand to mouth is not acceptable. People earning above the minimum wage are quick to judge and make assumptions. But imagine working two jobs and still not having enough to last the month. Why does it bother you that people deserve to live above the poverty line?

Rent and bare needs aren’t everything.

The guy got burned, honestly. Maybe he will stop being a know-it-all after this.

What do you think? Is the living wage enough or not? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
