On Christmas Eve, OP worked in the jewelry department of a 24/7 store, which rarely closes. After a long and overwhelming day, the store announced its closure, and everyone was directed to the registers to check out. Once all the customers left, the employees were allowed 30 minutes to do some quick shopping. OP and their husband enjoyed shopping and socializing with colleagues. The store manager, known for her strictness, was ensuring everyone left the premises.

As OP was leaving, an old man approached them, asking to be let into the closed store. OP politely refused, but the man became rude and demanded to see the manager. OP pointed to the manager, who was actively enforcing the closure. Amusingly, the manager was dealing with another difficult customer at that moment. OP and their husband left, and the old man eventually realized he had lost the argument. The story ends with the husband playfully shouting at the old man as they drove away, bringing humor and a light-hearted tone to the encounter.
