Sneezing is a technique of our body to throw away the dirt particles or any other unfamiliar substance that enters our nostrils. When sneezing, our body force shuts the eyes, the tongue touches the roof of our mouth and all the muscles in our body are braced. That’s why we make funny faces when we sneeze. This phenomenon is not limited to humans only. Cats tend to sneeze too. They can get allergic due to dirt and pollutants in the air. Some cats are known to be allergic to cigarette smoke, chemical cleaning products and smoke from the candles. The act of sneezing is also referred to as sternutation. What happens is water, mucus and air are forced out of our nose in an attempt to clean it. That’s not the only job of sneezing.
