You would think they do it intentionally. I mean, cats are incredibly agile. You may have seen that agility in motion in videos where cats had to walk through tons of obstacles and most do so without even making one bottle fall over. So that is why it surprises so many people when they knock over a glass full of water or even destroy a plant. However, that is what makes life fun when you have a cat around. Every day is a surprise and most wouldn’t have it any other way.
That is not to say you aren’t sad when your favorite couch gets torn apart or is left with scratches. When you adopt a cat, you resign yourself to some of your furniture being ruined. It is just the way it is with cats even if you get them expensive scratching posts. Other than having an operation where they take out their front claws (which is just horrific and should never be done on a cat), there is no way of making your cat stop. And unlike dogs, you can’t really train a cat.
But we can take a look at some hilarious fails of cats when they were caught red-handed making a mess.
Cats can adapt destructive behavior when they do not have enough to do around the house. It is not because they’re evil or are pissed at you. That is why cats need a lot of toys to keep them busy. And you can’t just get a cat and only spend ten minutes a day playing with them. They need a lot more social interaction as they only depend on you for all their playtime and thus need a lot of your allotted time even though they are more independent than a lot of other pets.
