Cats are, and will always be people’s favorite pet animal. Their cute and clingy selves can make anyone fall in love with them. People are obsessed with cats, and there is hardly any reason not to. If you have a cat as pet, you will find it resting and chilling everywhere be it your bed, favorite couch, car or literally any other place. It will ultimately make you wonder whether you are its owner or it is your boss. Still, cats are pure happiness to keep around, even at the expense of little discomfort sometimes.
Cats are irredeemably slouchy and love to rest whenever they get chance. You must also have seen them sitting with their paws tucked under the belly and looking like an absolute rectangular bread “loaf” This is one of the most common sitting position in cats which they absolutely love!

There can be many reasons of a cat lounging in a loaf position. Cats need to regulate their body temperature and by tucking their paws under the belly, they keep them close to the warm body. Heat is then transferred to the limbs, keeping them warm. Sometimes a cat also does this because its paw might be injured. They hide it in order to save it from further injuries and disturbance. But, the most common reason is comfort. Cats loaf when they are all relaxed and comfortable. They only hide their paws when it is safe and they don’t find any reason to pounce.
