Nothing breaks our hearts more than seeing an abandoned pet.

In a world where there are people who love cats and pet them, there are people who have no kindness in their hearts, who leave their pets on the streets on their own. It breaks our heart to see animals getting mistreated by their owners. Why would you adopt a pet in the first place when you have to abandon him/her later? A few months back, Kayla who works in an apartment leasing office in Corpus Christi, Texas was notified about a cat. She went to rescue her and found out she was in active labor. How merciless do you have to be to leave your pet outside and especially when it is in the middle of active labor? Scroll down below to read how Kayla rescued her.

We guess someone just updated the note and they did justice with this note. We assume Kayla and her coworker have written this at the end of the note but whoever it is, has put it into words. The cat’s owners were definitely trash and assholes. How shameless and inhumane the owners were to leave the cat abandoned in her active labor and then had the audacity to write a note for her. Our blood is boiling right now. Well, scroll down to see what Kayla and her coworker did for this cat.

4. When the towel was lifted, they found three newly born kittens underneath the cat. They realized she was in the middle of active labor so they brought her to their office with three kittens.

So, here is how the story begins. Kayla was informed that there is a cat lying in a bed next to a mailbox near an apartment complex. Kayla and her coworker rushed to the scene to see if there was any cat there. It was unexpected for Kayla to see a cat wrapped in a towel with a note taped to a wall above her. It wasn’t only unexpected but also a strange thing to watch. The note read “Please help us!!!”. When Kayla lifted the towel, she found three newborn kittens underneath the cat. Kayla realized immediately that the cat was in active labor. Kayla and her coworker were willing to help the cat so they brought her to their office along with her three kittens.

5. They helped her and she delivered her last baby in their office. Now, they had four kittens.

They brought the poor cat to their office and cleaned her. They helped her to deliver the fourth baby. Kayla and her mother “Buffy” figured out that the cat needs a safe place to raise her babies. Kayla and her mother are volunteers at Coastal Bend Cat Rescue. Coastal Bend Cat Rescue is a team of street cat rescuers working in Corpus Christi. Kayla kept them in her apartment for a few days and provided them with everything they needed. Then, Buffy took the whole family and helped the kittens grow until they can be adopted by a loving family. It’s important to provide a cat with a safe space when she is in her active labor and Kayla and her mother did a great job by providing them not only with a safe space but also with love, warmth and affection.

The beautiful mama cat was named Bonbon and her adorable kittens were named after candy treats. Reeses, Hershey, Dove, and Butterfinger. Names are as beautiful and sweet as these little babies. These adorable kittens were small and weak when they were born but Bonbon took full advantage of having a safe space. She took care of her kittens and constantly provided them with love and attention. Babies started growing up so quickly and now they are healthy fluffballs of about three weeks. It shows us how important it is to have a home and especially when it comes to raising babies whether they are human babies or cat’ babies.

Bonbon has proved to be an amazing cat mama by giving them the best possible care she could give despite the fact she was abandoned in the middle of active labor. The trauma of being left on your own is not easy to overcome but Bonbon turned out to be a brave and kind mother. Once the kittens will grow up and will be mature enough, they will be given for adoption so they can find their forever homes where they will be wanted and loved by their humans. Bonbon and her babies will be spayed and neutered before giving them for adoption to help stop this cycle of leaving cats abandoned in active labor. Kayla and her mother did not only provide Bonbon with immediate help but also made sure she would never have to experience discomfort again in her life.

Spaying and neutering will help more animals that are left abandoned. At least, they would not have to go through what Bonbon has been through. We wish Bonbon and her kittens meet someone who would truly love them and care for them. Someone who would never leave them abandoned on the streets.
