The Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia–based bookstore has partnered with the animal rescue organization South Paw Conservation Nova Scotia to help shelter cats find loving homes and give their customers somewhere to read. Kittens from the rescue organization are given a temporary home inside the bookstore while being assisted in finding their forever homes.
The bookstore allows the adoptable kittens to roam about freely, and you can find them lounging around on comfortable seats or sleeping idly in bookcases.
The kittens interact with many possible adopters while residing at the bookstore, making the endeavor a success.
The adoption rate at the shop is currently 100% with over 30 kittens already adopted.
The adoption fee, which goes toward the kitten’s medical costs, is 255 Canadian dollars (about 195 US dollars), if you wish to take one of the kittens home.
To ensure that the kittens are going to good homes, you must also submit references before being approved for adoption.
South Paw Conservation Nova Scotia eagerly discussed their partnership with Otis & Clementine’s Books and Coffee in an interview with Bored Panda.
