19 Women Share Their Journeys From A Glow Up To A Glow Down

Social media trends, we are all so familiar with them. They get viral, and everyone follows them, then they slowly fade away and get taken over by a new trend that goes viral, and the cycle repeats itself. Recently there has been a new trend going viral on TikTok that goes by the name “glow-down challenge”. The challenge has expanded its roots into other social media platforms as well, since its inception.

The challenge is basically done by women who believed they had the best “glow-up” in high school and how things have drastically changed now, a downturn comparison basically. However, it must be noted that the definition of beauty is different for everyone, and maybe a glow-down for someone could be perceived as a “glow-up” for another person. So the subjectivity remains, just remember that.

It is sort of hard for me to believe that this woman peaked so quickly, in their high schools. Like it took me time man, it really did. Maybe that is why their glow-downs came quickly as well.

The trend is a bit weird, like it has no sense to it but is viral and so many people are following it. This “glow-down” challenge is not going to go anywhere anytime soon.

These social media addicts, I tell you, are lowkey very creative. Although there is no sense in their creativity, the trends and challenges they come up with are unheard of, and that is precisely why they go so viral so quickly. Let’s see how long the “glow-down” challenge can make till the next social media challenge takes over.
