Dogs are pure and precious and they need to be protected at all costs. They deserve a safe environment at home where they are loved and cared for. People who mistreat animals are pure filth. They are absolute cowards who like to bully creatures that can not stand up for themselves. What have these poor fur babies ever done to deserve mistreatment? When you adopt a pet, you give them a forever home and a family they can trust. You can not just take that away from them. That just breaks their trust and takes away their faith in humans. They think of us as their protectors and when we hurt them, it takes away all that they believe in because they look towards us for a safe environment. Some people have to give away their pets because of abusive family members and that was the case with this Reddit user.

In my opinion, the husband is absolutely disgusting to do this to a poor animal who is completely defenceless. Someone that can do this to a dog can definitely do it to another human as well so this is surely a red flag that the wife should take notice of.
