Being poor is not always a choice.

It frustrates me when people bash the poor for being “lazy” and not working “hard enough.” They blame them for not being educated enough, not having an “appropriate degree” or just ask them to work several jobs at one time. It is not humanely possible and all that ranting comes out from very privileged mouths. “Just find another job.” “Just invest in something.”

It does not happen like that! You can’t just wake up one day and decide you will not be poor anymore. That is not how it works and some people need to understand that. You can still fall below the poverty threshold even if you’re utilising all your time and working as hard as you can. Nobody says the same things to rich companies when they face a crisis. Well, one person did.
