The world is full of countless dogs! And each one of them is special in its own beautiful way. Some are more famous than the others while some are more recognizable than others. But then, there are some dogs, whose owners get to hear “What breed is this?”, because they are so unique and distinctive that most of us have never even heard or even seen them! So if you think that you have seen all types of dogs, my dear, you couldn’t have been more wrong! As it is said, there is always a chance to learn something new.

Every year new dogs breeds are being recognized and almost 195 dog breeds have been recognized up till now. So, when you go for a walk in a nearby park, you surely would’ve seen Beagles and Yorkshire Terriers, but have you ever encountered a Swedish Vallhund or a Bedlington Terrier? These kinds of dogs are very exceptional. Some of these have rare fur, rare legs, markings and patterns that we have never seen!

1. Bedlington Terrier

Being famous for its curly and pale-colored wool, the Bedlington Terrier looks like a lamb. This breed of a small dog is very athletic and it is also traditionally been used for racing. This breed is not only intelligent & affectionate but also has a very good temper!

2. Azawakh

These dogs have actually been around for quiet a while. They are known to be ancient hunting dogs. They are super speedy and also have a lot of energy when they are outdoors. But indoors, they are very composed and calm!

3. Mudi

A curly haired Hungarian farm dog. Despite being so petite, they are very resilient, agile and also athletic. They are used as a herding dog and flock guardian. If you have Mudi as a pet and you want to make him happy, take him for long walks!

4. Swedish Vallhund

They are known to be small, powerful and and also fearless. They excel in being obedient, agile, tracking and also herding. Their tails are what makes them unique, some of them have a bobtail (no tail) to full curl tail.

5. Telomian

These dogs are found in isolated villages. They are originally from Malaysia. The rare thing about this breed is that is has a blue tongue. Their climbing skills are also surprisingly exceptional!

6. Catalburun

Split nose and suspended ears are the features that are only possessed by Catalburun. Known for their stamina, these dogs are native to Turkey and are not found outside the country.

7. Karelian Bear Dog

They are originally used as watch dogs and for hunting. They have quick reflexes and own a fearless nature. They are also generally aggressive towards other dogs.

8. Tibetan Mastiff

The ancient dog breed is extremely protective, intelligent and independent. They can’t be easily trained. They like being independent. When they are under supervision, they can be really amazing pets!
