An adoption is a beautiful act. Essentially what you are doing is you are voluntarily taking on a huge responsibility. Responsibility to provide a human or an animal with a new life, under your security, your supervision, your shelter. And there are multiple visions and missions that go behind an adoption. Let’s divide it into two major parts: You and Them.
One reason why a person adopts is for themselves. Maybe it is that missing spot in life that they had always been looking for. Some adopt because they require love, support, and joy in life. A partner who can provide with all that. So you adopt for yourself. The second part is them. You adopt to give the animal or the human adopted, a life they will never ever forget, in a positive way of course. You adopt to make sure they get what they had always deserved. It is an amazing cause and not many have the will to do so.
Today’s focus is on our very own doggos. Dogs are the most adopted animal in the world. It’s because of how adorable, cute, loyal, strong, confident, and every single adjective that positively describes someone, they are all of them. But here’s the sad reality. People often take upon adoptions just because they want a pet dog. That’s not it. It really is a huge responsibility. It’s like planning to have a baby. All that responsibility, expense, care, investment, time goes into it is the same as it will go into adopting a dog. This under-assessment is why we see so many abandoned dogs in the world. People just fail at the job and throw their pets away. These dogs then become scary, ruthless, and begin hunting for survival. But in those eyes is hidden a real emotional back story.
This one Spain-based photographer decided to take it upon themself and set out on a journey to take pictures of all the abandoned hunting dogs they could find in Spain. The pictures tell us a story that will make everyone believe these dogs don’t do what they do for a purpose, they are forced into a life they never ever deserved.
Let’s look at these amazing images. Each of them tells you a story.

Oh my god, so far this is the most beautiful. Even such dogs are abandoned, I cannot believe my eyes.

Poor thing looks too rusty.
Imagine taking this dog to the groomer. No one would be able to recognize it, I can bet.

My heart is bleeding right now. I feel so sad that these animals go through such a harsh life. They are forced by circumstances to become rock hard. But trust me, it only requires one positive touch full of love and all that hard shell will break right off.

Abandoned dogs are just not given the recognition they deserve. Why? They are dogs too.

I swear this is so good. Its like one of those warriors who stands tall after a long fight with 1000s of enemies. They always come out.

These masks, they eventually have to come off. What to do, then?

All they want is a comfortable bed and they could sleep for weeks.
