Every Scar Has A Story

As we get old we better understand the world and become wiser. But, it all comes at a cost. The character development is never a one-step process. We have to go through many bad experiences, hardships and moments of complete despair before we become better and more adaptable. This sometimes also means going through trauma and bearing the loss of a loved one. All these things as a whole make us who we eventually become and it’s just as real as it can get.

They say growth and progress is always outside of our comfort zone. In a way, this is exactly that. Unless and until we go through hardships we can’t really become strong. But what’s interesting is that this whole phase isn’t limited to humans only. Animals go through this too. They may not be able to explain it to us or talk about it but, they too, feel pain and adapt accordingly.

To explain this phenomena of life better we bring you another “Pixie And Brutus” comic which accurately explains this. If you’ve seen our previousPixie And Brutus” posts, you’d know that these are usually adorable and funny. But today they’re different. Today, this comic will show us the other side of the seemingly happy life. Scroll on below and check it out!

Trigger Warning!

There are certain things in life that we’re too young to understand. We get to know about them only once we’re old enough.

Every scar that we have shows that we probably faced something terrible and still survived.

In the case of Brutus, it goes way back to when he was in the military.

It was unlike his regular missions because this time the bad guys were pretending to be innocent.

It was hard to take them down because they seemed harmless, but that day, life had something else in store for Brutus.

Military dog or not, dogs don’t hurt people without reason. The bad guys were putting up a facade and pretending to be innocent which the good-hearted Brutus couldn’t see. But that didn’t mean the bad guys had an edge. Dogs have sharp senses and good reflexes. One small mistake and bam the cover is blown! And that’s exactly what happened.

Brutus was the first one to sense something was wrong.

He charged the bad guy as soon as he spotted him. But it just wasn’t enough…

He got shot.

But he still didn’t give up and took the bad guy down!

The whole encounter left him injuired.

But what shattered him were not the physical wounds.

It was the loss of his dear friend…

But it was something beyond control and so he had no choice but to live with it.

Life is unpredictable but it never stops. It goes on.

The only certainty in life is death. Every soul must taste it. There’s no escaping it. But with time we do get the strength to endure the pain of loss and live with it knowing that eventually we will see the same fate.
