When the vegan dishes this bride had booked were unexpectedly canceled, she found that her fiancé had done so secretly. That left the pair in a delicate situation, brought into question their marriage preparations, and caused the bride to reconsider their engagement.

The original poster has returned to inform the reader in the latest issue that she has decided to totally end the engagement and separate from her fiancé.

The original thread was initiated by user/SarahJake2022, who questioned whether she was appropriate in her response after discovering out her fiancé had rejected the vegan meals she had planned for her family on Reddit’s r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) subreddit. I

t’s worth noting that the bride’s family is paying for the food service and that a lot of her relatives are vegans.  Which can result in a frustrating state for OP. Even though her family was paying for the food and the services, the question that arises here is why would he do that.

Keep on scrolling down below to dive deeper into this case, and you know the drill guys in the end considering the facts you have to let us know who is an A-hole here. Make sure you read it till the end otherwise, you are not going to get what happened next.

1. Fiance and his family are heavy meat eaters and it’s totally fine for OP but it doesn’t go the same for the fiance

2. We have to respect everyone’s choice of food or anything, OP made it clear that the food menu was final period.

3. It’s quite awkward that he canceled all the vegan options behind her back, the point is they are already having meat options on the menu then why can’t OP get 4-5 vegans options since she is paying for that?

4. Are you for real? Why would it be a waste of money? It’s a wedding and where would vegans go when they’ll not have anything similar to their taste buds?

5. this is ridiculous, and compromises are ought to be from both sides if you want to make a relationship successful.

6. For the love of god don’t marry this man! What do you think guys?

Via u/SarahJake2022

7. Since her fiance is vegan he needs to learn what vegans eat, and respect their choice.

8. they don’t have any respect for OP or her decisions at all, and can you believe this guy is about to get married to OP and that’s not how marriages work?

9. This commentator says if he or she has been going through a similar problem he or she would cancel the whole wedding, and obviously, OP is not an A-hole.

10. He canceled the vegan option now it’s up to OP if she wants to cancel the wedding

12. He still insisted on his stance, man are you for real?

13. From the facts above and all we have to mention is that OP is hundred percent on her right and she isn’t an A-hole

14. It wasn’t such a big deal but some people like this make things worse although they can be dealt smoothly

Via u/SarahJake2022

15. Compromises are made from both ends, not from only one

OP did what the fiance deserved, he canceled the vegan option from the food menu OP decided to cancel the whole wedding. Because the conflict was not only about food, her fiance and OP’s mother-in-law were crossing limits. Compromises are not made from one end, and it was a small deal but they made it like the biggest problem in the world although it could have been dealt easily without any issues. We are glad to let you guys know that OP here is not an A-hole.
