Long Standing Employees Maliciously Comply With Manager Who Decides To Pay A Higher Rate To Newly Hired Workers

To comply with our managers is our responsibility. But they often create situations in which the employees have to “maliciously” comply. This maliciousness can really put managers in trouble for their terribleness and certainly gets them to learn a lesson which is to never mess with your key employees.

Today we have Reddit user u/tpb772000 who shared that their manager, for some odd reason, decided to pay a higher rate to newly hired cashiers as compared to the existing, long-standing employees for the store. OP was one of the existing employees who after realizing the newly hired are being paid a better rate decided to approach his manager to be paid the new rate as well. The manager rejected it by saying this offer is only for the newly hired employees. After listening to this, OP decided to maliciously comply with his manager in a way that left him shocked…and he got the new, higher pay as well.

In order to know how it all went down you will have to scroll down below to read the story!

3. OP’s request got rejected which frustrated him because he was their most experienced employee and was tasked to train the newly hired workers who were basically making more money than him.

4. The situation forced OP to brew something up and he discussed his master plan with his parents.

6. After enjoying the weekend, OP decided to apply to the same store he had quitted and he got a call for an interview.

The fact that his ex-manager will be taking his interview is so hilarious…Imagine the awkwardness.

This was so beautiful, I feel satisfied down to my core after reading this one. This is exactly how you should deal with such managers. I have to commend OP’s confidence in the fact that he will get called for an interview. I wish I could see the manager’s face when OP entered the room for the interview, would’ve been absolutely hilarious…that moment.
