I’ve grown up with pets. Dogs and cats. And I simply can not live without them. I need them for emotional support. They help me through hard times, celebrate with me in good times, and they just make the perfect companions.
Four guys living in an apartment recently noticed a dog from their neighbour’s window. Since their landlord doesn’t allow them to keep pets and they are all animal lovers, they decided to write a letter to the dog, Stevie Ticks. This story will make your day for sure. Read it down below:
Jack_McCrossan, who was one of the four gentlemen, tweeted all about it:
Stevie is a really friendly dog, and she has seen the boys twice since the letter. They played with her in the park too.
Stevie is a two and a half-year-old sheprador (Lab and GSD mix). She is from Cyprus, but after she was hit by a car there, she had a surgery and was given up for adoption in the UK, where her parents Chris and Sarah adopted her.
Stevie’s owner, Chris, talked about how hard it can be for people to own dogs if they don’t own a house as usual landlords don’t allow pets inside homes.
“So if we can share the love a dog gives all the time we should try to follow in her footsteps. We’ve been amazed at the positive response we’ve received from around the world. It’s inspired other people to make contact with their neighbors and share their dogs,” Chris said in his interview with Bored Panda.

“Every time she goes out in the garden in the morning she ‘sings’ to the cats and birds out there. That was partly the inspiration behind her name, as well as the fact that she had tics all over her when we rescued her!”
“Her favorite foods are wasabi, butternut squash, sweet potato, olives, fig rolls, sardines, and courgette cores (my mum is a courgettie spaghetti addict),” Sarah talked about Stevie.

“Stevie is a very inquisitive pooch. She loves hanging her head out the window and checking out all the people walking past: that’s how she drew attention to the boys!” said Sarah.
“We were ecstatic at the response and couldn’t wait to walk her,” Jack said. “Once we saw the paw print on the envelope we knew it was good news!” They were not wrong!
“She is very energetic, puppy-like and friendly! We got to take her for a walk and she wouldn’t stop running. We’ve all had a mixture of pets from cats and dogs to hamsters, fish and guinea pigs.”
