Is having the new iPhone really necessary?

I understand that everyone has hobbies and that it is acceptable to spend your own money on them, but does that mean you can berate other people in order to get what you want? I’ve also never understood people’s obsession with getting the latest iPhone. Don’t get me wrong, I know Apple makes good technology, but these days most other companies have the same specifications, so the ‘name brand’ shouldn’t matter as much, and yet here we are. I never expected to see someone so obsessed with phones that they were willing to damage their previous model in order to get their hands on the latest model.

Yes, I am well aware that for many people, technology is secondary, and they only want the newest thing to show off to others. But sometimes things don’t go as planned, and you have to grin and bear it. Karens, on the other hand, aren’t very good at it. They must always get what they want or they will throw a tantrum like a small child. That is precisely what is happening in this story. I wish I was joking, but things like this no longer surprise me. While this particular woman isn’t a customer but rather an employee, she’s still a Karen, especially given how she treated the IT team.

Her obsession with the new iPhone really was transcendental.

Honestly, technicians usually get the raw end of the deal.

They have to deal with a lot and there is usually nothing they can do but take it.

The people around them treat them like lesser-than beings.

So it is no surprise that this woman was being rude towards the IT department.

But no matter how much she wanted the new phone, they couldn’t do anything.

But she had another idea in mind and came back with a broken phone.

Since the new phone wasn’t even out, the department gave her a spare.

However, this didn’t appease her and she came in like a wrecking ball once again.

They sent the requisition again but the application was once again denied.

But it didn’t end there and the spare was also broken already.

She had apparently ‘accidentally’ dropped the phone.

However, that ended up being a lie after they checked the security tapes.

She was clearly quite angry at the phone.

And wanted to break it completely, tearing it into pieces.

But since she got caught, she was promptly fired for damaging company property.

And that is how this story ended.

I am glad that she got what she deserved.

She apparently had everything figured out but it didn’t work out for her.
