Wife Fires Her Husband’s Boss’ 17 Y.O. Daughter From Her Flower Shop, Creates Trouble At Workplace

In today’s story, a flower shop owner shared a dilemma involving a difficult employee. OP’s husband, eager to secure a promotion, offered a summer job at the flower shop to his boss’s daughter, Jessica, without consulting his wife first. Despite needing part-time help, OP found Jessica to be a troublesome employee.

Jessica’s poor work ethic, careless behavior, inappropriate attire, and slow pace caused significant frustration. But OP had to stay quiet as her husband’s promotion depended on it.

1. Let’s find out!

2. OP’s husband works in a large corporate while she runs a flower shop her grandparents once opened.

3. OP recently hired Jessica, her husband’s boss’ daughter.

4. Jessica was only hired so OP’s husband would have a smooth path to achieve promotion. The girl didn’t know anything about the job.

5. Her work ethic annoyed OP alot because Jessica barely did anything.

6. OP told her husband she wants to fire Jessica but he wanted her to be patient through the summer so that his promotion chances don’t drop.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:

7. Enact a strict policy to ensure she completes the required work on time; if she doesn’t, fire her.

This was kind of unfair to OP. She would never be an AH for firing Jessica becauss there is no space for freeloaders in any company or business, but the situation here is slightly different. OP’s husband’s promotio is on the line here. If she can be a little patient with the things, he may get promotrd and get a better pay as a result. The couple’s quality of life could potentially improve.

NTA but would be better if she doesn’t fire Jessica.
