Our kids turn out the way we raise them. It is the parent’s duty to teach their kids the difference between right or wrong. If left on their own, they are obviously going to go astray. If you spot your child doing something wrong, you need to stop them and tell them it’s unethical. If you don’t teach them otherwise, they will continue doing it and think there is nothing wrong with it. You can’t change someone who sees nothing wrong in their actions.

We need to teach our children that violence is not the answer to anything. It is a no-tolerance zone. It doesn’t matter if they are harming someone or not, the problem lies within the toxic behaviour itself. So if you see your child hurting a sibling or a pet, stop them right there and then. If you don’t, this behaviour will develop into something far worse in the future. One woman on Quora asked how she should stop her dog from growling at her toddler who keeps “punching” him. Marnie Bell previously worked with a dog rescue group, so she has a lot of experience with dogs. “You can bring some of the baby’s clothes home from the hospital before you bring the baby home, so the dog has a chance to get used to the new family member’s scent,” she spoke to Bored Panda. “Make sure you don’t suddenly change the dogs routine after the baby comes home. Any changes to routine should (ideally) happen slowly in the months leading up to the birth, so the dog doesn’t associate the sudden upheaval in its life with the baby.”

It’s actually pretty simple and straightforward. “Also, remember to pay attention to your fur child after your human child comes home. They don’t understand why they’re no longer the centre of your world. Be sure to enforce strict boundaries with both pet & child, and enforce them consistently and lovingly. Teach your child to respect your pet, and your pet will respect your child.”
