Hotel Employee Refused To Give Room Key Of A Woman To Three Men Who Claimed To “Switched” It With Her

At 2:30 AM, a hotel night auditor found herself facing a tense situation when three intoxicated men stumbled into the lobby. Working alone, the young woman was already on edge as one of the men approached the front desk, requesting a new key for his room. After checking his ID and confirming the reservation, the man suddenly claimed that he was staying in a different room—one that belonged to a woman under the same group booking. He insisted they had “switched rooms” and demanded a key to her room instead.

Sensing something was wrong, OP firmly refused to hand over the key without proper proof. Despite the man’s persistence and anger, she stood her ground, prioritizing the safety of the female guest. The incident left her uneasy, but she knew she had done the right thing by not giving in.

1. You are bound to get fired if you do such a thing. Let’s jump in for details.

2. While working the night shift, OP saw three drunk men enter the hotel’s lobby.

3. One guy demanded a second key to a room that didn’t belong to him.

4. The room belonged to a woman staying under the same corporate group, but he insisted they had swapped by mistake and wanted the keys.

5. OP did a thorough investigation and couldn’t find any grounds to give the keys to that room.

6. They continued to force OP to hand over the keys, giving countless reasons.

7. Eventually, the guy’s friends left him while he kept trying. OP apologized and gave him a clear answer; a big no!

8. Failed, the guy also left the scene. OP had no idea where he went, but he wasn’t at the reception anymore.

9. In an update, OP shared that his manager got to speak to the woman in question about the guy who had come to ask for her room keys.

10. The lady confirmed her room hadn’t been switched with anyone.

11. It became clear that the guy wasn’t asking for those keys with good intentions. OP saved a woman that day.

OP deserves a raise. She didn’t come under any pressure and dealt with the situation with extreme professionalism. Those guys were drunk and could’ve harmed her. But she stood her ground firmly and conducted a thorough investigation to decide whether the guy should have the room key or not. And you can tell from the update what a good decision it was. The rooms weren’t swapped. You never know what that guy would’ve done had he entered the woman’s room at 2:30 in the morning. Perhaps a case of r*pe, he was drunk after all. Great job, OP! I hope you find a better job, a job where they acknowledge your efforts and make you feel valued.

That guy had r*pe alert written all over him. People with such bad intentions are always on the lookout for such office tours. I hope the hotel staff tells the woman everything that happened so she can go back to the office and report the matter to HR. A whole investigation must be opened immediately. Who knows how many office females have been victims of his hara*sment in the past? The company needs to fire him at once, but that won’t do the job. He needs to be jailed in order to make sure all women are safe.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this one. Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
