An employee at a hotel decides to quit due to persistent issues with management and co-workers. Reddit user username910975, the employee, tired of their night auditor consistently being late and getting blamed for leaving on time, found a new job with better hours and benefits. Their frustration wasn’t unique; two other employees were inspired to leave as well. This mass departure left the hotel severely understaffed. On their last day, OP had planned to offer discounts to kind guests, feeling no remorse for the situation they helped create.

1. No one deserves to be in a toxic workplace.

2. OP had always had an issue with their next shift coming in late, so they decided to apply for a new job and got a much better offer in no time.

3. After getting confirmation from the new company, OP started a movement to have other workers leave as well.

4. An older person and a young employee both decided to make a move, feeling inspired by OP.

5. For so long, OP had to wait hours upon hours till their next shift came in so they could go home.

6. During his final days, one day OP was told his next shift was 3 hours late. So many guests had to wait for over 2 hours to check in. It was a mess at the hotel.

7. On his last day, OP decided to give away big discounts to any guest who walked through the main door. He was ready to burn the business down before leaving!

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:

8. True. It is not easy for young employees to make such moves.

9. Life is too short to have it consumed by the toxicity of the workplace.

You make life h*ll for your worker and this is exactly what happens. No business can ever retain workers like this. I am glad others took inspiration from OP and have decided to move on. There is no point in working in an organization that literally drains your blood and sweat only to not give you any rewards or acknowledge the efforts you are putting in for the company. This hotel will close, and this is not an assumption but a statement.

The internet is supporting a common cause, and it is a view against the management. As expected. Let’s enjoy some more comments. Scroll down below to continue reading!

20. My mistake. Not just the employees; OP is a worldwide inspiration.

Like the earth’s core, employees are those who form a company’s core. Without its core, a company is nothing. Do bad bosses realize this? They are still human beings so they must, because this is not a difficult concept to get your head through. Unfortunately, bad bosses voluntarily choose to ignore this concept, and this is mostly because of the cloud of ego that blinds them. The cloud often appears when you hold a bigger position, which smells of a lot of tasty powers to ab*se!

Surely, the boss will learn his lesson as all his employees leave and the hotel closes for good.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this one. Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
