It’s heart-wrenching to witness the damage that littering is causing to our planet.

We often hear about how our actions are impacting the environment and the creatures that inhabit it. But sometimes, it’s difficult to truly comprehend the extent of the harm being done until we see it firsthand. While there are organizations working tirelessly to address these issues, it’s important to remember that change begins with each and every individual. It might not seem like a big deal to discard a plastic cup on the ground during a picnic, but it’s up to us to take responsibility for our actions and make a conscious effort to do better. While it may seem daunting, it’s our duty as individuals to reflect on our behaviour and make the necessary changes.

It’s heartening to see how many artists are using their platforms to raise awareness on important issues. One such artist is Jenny Jinya, who is known for her poignant comics that shed light on the harmful effects of pollution on animals. Her latest work highlights the impact of littering on birds, and it’s truly heartbreaking. What’s even more admirable is that she supports her storytelling with factual information and sources.

If you plan on continuing and reading this newest comic, be sure to keep some tissues nearby.

Working hard to feed your children.

You sacrifice everything but it is never enough.

You think that everything was your fault. If only you had done more.

Maybe your child would have survived if you were dealt better cards.

But that is all for nought and you are forced to say goodbye.

Left with nothing but another memory to bury.

Jenny leaves us with some heartbreaking facts as well.

The story depicts a heart-wrenching scenario where a parent bird is struggling to feed her offspring. As a parent, anyone can relate to the situation. However, the mama bird is facing the daunting task of ensuring the health of her baby bird by feeding it with the only available ‘food’ she can find—plastic and cigarette butts that litter the ground and ocean.

It’s a heartbreaking sight to see a mother bird trying her best to keep her baby alive in the face of environmental pollution that is harming every other wildlife that birds usually go for. The little baby bird eventually succumbs to the harsh reality of its plight, leaving the mother bird feeling helplessly devastated. It is a sorry sight that we should all be able to empathize with and take action to prevent it from happening again in the future.

People in the comments were quite surprised as well.

They did love the comic.

But it was hard to not tear up.

I wouldn’t be able to draw something like this.

It is not that hard to be kind to earth.

These people need to change.
