We all grew up watching Disney movies, cartoons and series. I remember waking up exactly at 8 AM just to watch The Emperor’s New Groove. I was pretty much obsessed with Disney as a child and I’m not ashamed to admit that I still am. Being a Disney princess was every girl’s dream back then. And honestly, Disney wasn’t just everyone’s childhood. We are still attached to it in our adulthood. It is honestly just pure and wholesome. Divided by nations, united by Disney. We all wished Disney characters were real, but maybe that wish can come true now.
Samuel MB is an artist, teacher, and actor who brings famous Disney characters to life through his pictures. He takes photos of himself and then edits Disney characters like Lilo, Stitch, Tarzan, and Hercules into them. “When I was a kid, I was a fan of the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I liked the combination of animation and live-action. Years later, I learned to use Photoshop, and now I like to create photos by combining cartoons with real life,” the artist told Bored Panda. He talked about how he gets inspiration for his Photoshop edits. “Inspiration comes to me watching Disney movies. When I know what photo I want to create, I just have to use Photoshop and create magic.”
He talked about how he chose the path of Photoshop. “My father bought Photoshop when I was a teenager. He was always editing photos, and I liked what he did. So one day I decided to do the same.”
When asked about his favourite Disney movie, he replied with “It is difficult to answer. If I have to choose one, I choose The Little Mermaid and Ariel.”
He is driven by fun. “I like to create these photos because I have fun, and other people have fun too.”
“Many people love my photos. They tell me that my photos remind them of their childhood. They would like to meet Disney characters in real life,” shared Samuel while talking about his followers.
“I have loved Disney since I was a kid. Their stories, their characters, their songs. Those films have been part of my childhood. For that reason, creating these Disney photos is now so much fun.”
