Guy Accidentally Leaves Front Door Open, Gets ‘Chosen’ By A Stray Dog

Getting a pet is a big decision.

Not only do you have to make sure, but you also need to have enough resources to take care of a pet. Also, you should be able to get them their shots and have a vet close by. There is also the fact that taking care of a pet can take a significant chunk of time out of your day. So people with very busy jobs are not the best suited for pets if they live alone. However, this guy didn’t get to make that decision as the dog made that for him.

You see, the stray dog snuck into their home in the middle of the night. It was because their door was wide open and he probably wanted a warm place to sleep in for the night. Nobody could have expected what happened next, and that the little dog would go from being on the streets to on TV. You can read the whole story by scrolling below. They woke up to find this dog inside.

And they were confused as to how she got in.

Apparently, they had left the door wide open by mistake.

And the dog came in looking for food or warmth.

However, things took a turn when a stranger saw a house with an open door.

The stranger feared that they might get robbed so he shut the door.

Suzy has a heart murmur, hook worn, infected paws, pad damage, and atrophy in one of the legs from it being so damaged. She needs a bunch of dental work but is very underweight so we need to get her weight up and have some tests to make sure she can be put under for procedures. We decided to adopt her because she had no owner, and our first dog George has brought us so much joy, we could imagine just putting her in the system.

This trapped the dog inside.

And so she had nowhere to go in the morning.

They then decided to bring her to a vet.

There were many issues with her.

She was not only malnourished but also had a flea problem.

They got her vaccines and put on medicine for the fleas.

She clearly needed help.

So then they bathed her, took care of her, and gave her food.

The dog was scared.

But went along with it all.

She was actually quite docile.

And slowly started to trust the humans.

She even made friends with the other dog.

Things never turn out the way we expect them to and this dog is proof of that. It is a big coincidence that she got trapped in the house. If the stranger hadn’t closed the door, perhaps after resting for a bit she would have wandered off. So we need to thank the stranger as well for thinking of a family and closing the door for her. It is a series of coincidences that don’t happen often. However, we are thankful that they did and he found a loving home.

She was clearly getting used to the comfort of a loving home.

And loving all the attention she was garnering.

Just look at how much better and healthy she seems!

The other dog also gave up his bed for her.

But things weren’t all calm.

And she needed a lot of work.

But they vowed that they would take care of her.

She was getting to see the world.

She has been great with our family, including our baby. She is very sweet and just wants to be loved. Suzy is on the mend and getting better every day. Her body is filling out and she is on antibiotics to treat some of her problems. Shes got a long road ahead but is on the way.
