While I had no idea until I came across this story, apparently wheelchairs can be more expensive than cars. Even wheelchair accessories are exorbitantly priced. It is obvious that companies that cater to disabled people make a lot of money. However, that is not what we are here to discuss. What we are here to discuss is people’s entitlement and how, as humans, we are gradually losing our ability to empathize with others. We hear so many stories about entitled parents, and it never ceases to amaze me how little they care about other people.
I’m sure we’ve all heard stories about single mothers claiming seats on buses for disabled people simply because they don’t want to be inconvenienced. Even when a disabled person gets on the bus, they frequently refuse to move, complaining about how they are the victim or something similar. While this story isn’t quite as dramatic because this entitled woman didn’t actually take a disabled person’s seat, She did, however, force her pram through rather than folding it as directed by the guidelines. This resulted in a problem with the wheelchair.

To be honest, I’m disappointed that the woman received no repercussions for her actions. Not only did she ruin OP’s day and the class they were looking forward to, but she also caused a bus delay. Everything would have been fine if she had been patient and not tried to push the pram through. I’m not saying that folding a pram is always necessary, but when there is no room, you should do what common sense dictates. I can only hope that karma catches up with her soon.
