Some employees want to make things harder for everyone.

In every workplace, there are people who seem to enjoy creating obstacles and making things more difficult for their coworkers. These employees can disrupt the flow of work and cause tension in the team by engaging in passive-aggressive behaviour, refusing to cooperate, or intentionally sabotaging. However, their anger is not always directed at their coworkers. Everyone has bad days, but it’s unfair to blame someone who has nothing to do with your problems.

This is especially true for individuals who work in customer service. These individuals may direct their frustration at customers, resulting in poor service and negative experiences. While we cannot always understand what is going through someone’s mind, it is never a good idea to excuse their behaviour. We’ve all heard stories about rude customers mistreating employees, but there can be the opposite as well.

Scroll down to see one such example for yourself.

Shopping for things you need isn’t always a pleasant experience.

Many women out there choose not to change their last name, and that is completely normal.

OP has been married to her husband for a few years, and she is also an authorised user of her husband’s card.

Will had surgery a few days ago, and he wanted to do some things around the house, which required him to buy some stuff from a DIY store.

When OP went to the store to pick up the order, the employee at the counter wasn’t having any of it.

Apparently, the biggest issue was that the OP didn’t share the same last name as her husband and thus could not get the stuff they had paid for.

The OP tried to explain the situation and told the employee to check the email if she was so persistent.

That is when the employee tried to bend OP’s driver’s licence, which OP quickly snatched out of her hand.

The employee took it even further and called out to OP when she was leaving, screaming about how she was committing fraud.

OP’s husband is also less than happy since he now needs to go to the store to pick up the things.

They did eventually go back, and this time there was no issue at all with picking up the order.

Things didn’t end there, as the OP did call the manager and complain about the rude employee.

We wish OP’s husband well on his road to recovery.

I have no idea what was going through the employee’s mind when she decided to make such a big fuss. Did she truly believe OP was attempting to defraud them, or was she just on a power trip? I mean, many women do not have the same last name as their husbands, so I’m not sure why the employee was so adamant about it. Not only that, but OP was already on the list, so it appears that the employee had an issue with Op for some reason. I never wish this on most customer service employees, but I hope this particular employee is reprimanded for her behaviour.

I would have done this if this had happened to me.

There has to be a reason for it, right?

I have no idea why the employee thought this was okay.

The employee indeed deserves a good reprimand.

How did she even get a job in customer service with her behaviour?

She said it was fraud without any evidence at all.

Sadly, they decided to do it another way.

I am not sure anyone has the time to take this issue that much further.
