There is always someone you look up to whether they are an actor, a singer, or an artist. They become famous and a lot of people are seen to slowly become obsessed with them. However, it is always nice to know that your favourite celebrity is an animal lover! That just makes them so much more likeable. And when you see a celebrity with a dog, you know that person must have a pure heart because dogs don’t love just anyone. If a dog likes someone, trust them. Because dogs can tell whether a person is evil or not.

Amanda Yocom, CPDT-KA, Dog Behavior Specialist at Best Friends Animal Society, told Bored Panda in an interview, “A typical dog needs a balanced day of social interactions, outings, enrichment, and downtime.” You will have to cater to their needs if you want one. “An adequate amount of exercise and mental stimulation are essential in keeping dogs behaviorally sound.”
Dogs need balance in their life so they can avoid adopting bad or spoiled habits. They need to let out their energy so they aren’t always hyper, but they also shouldn’t be given too much attention by a lot of people as it can overwhelm them. “When a dog receives too much attention in public spaces, [some of them] can become overwhelmed or overstimulated and revert to defensive or inappropriate behavior to communicate their discomforts,” Yocom said.
“It is important to always read your dog’s body language to indicate what their comfort levels are. Dogs who have had enough social engagement may hesitate to approach, may want to create distance from the unfamiliar person, bark, have their ears back, etc. Sometimes their body language may be more subtle like a closed mouth and lowered body posture or more apparent like growling or snapping.”
Receiving too much attention isn’t an issue that only celebrity dogs face. It happens with normal dogs too. Whenever you are walking your dog in the neighbourhood, you attract a lot of people’s attention and some even come up to you to pet your dog. If your dog shows any sign of discomfort, it is your duty to take them away from all the attention before they react in a negative way. Looking after your pets is important, and you have to understand their body language in order to do that.
