We love our dogs, and there is nothing in the world we won’t do to make them smile. Our little four-legged bundles of joy melt our hearts and warm our homes with their affectionate personality. We love running our fingers through their fur and giving them tummy rubs. Watching their tiny tails wag as they run around the house. Not to mention, their tiny teeth when they smile are just priceless! However, some of those teeth can be sharp like a needle, especially if your little puppy has recently turned into a full-fledged doggo.
Since we’re obsessed with their smiles, we are going to share with you something that will make you smile too. “Toofers” is a community on Reddit that is dedicated to doggies with beautiful and silly smiles and it brings us immense joy. People over there share photos of their dogs showing off their teeth and everyone loves it. So, we’ve decided to share that happiness with you by showing you some of the best photos of dogs hilariously displaying their toofers. Check them out below!
Toofers is a community with dog owners from around the world. Making a total of 83.1K members. This community was created back in 2015, and it hasn’t stopped growing ever since. These members post pictures of their pets. That’s what their About page on Reddit says:
“Does your dog have a beautiful smile, a silly snarl, or an adorable snaggle toof? Well then Toofers is the place for you!”
Just like humans, dogs go through the toothing process where their infant teeth fall out and permanent ones grow. When your puppy begins to bite everything from furniture to blankets this is usually a sign of the beginning of the toothing process. Usually, by the age of three to six weeks, the puppies start toothing. By the age of six months, they grow most of their permanent teeth.
Our furry buddies also need to brush their teeth and keep them clean just like us. Otherwise, the vet bills can really surprise us. You can ask your vet for a good toothpaste recommendation for your little friend. Obviously, we can’t use the regular toothpaste we use for ourselves. They may harm their oral health. On the other hand, there are a variety of chew toys that can be very helpful during their toothing period as well as to maintain their oral health. And they also help kill the bacteria in the mouth.
