The first rule of cat ownership is to never leave food of any kind out in ANY cat-accessible position. It makes no difference if the food is chicken, rice, fruit, or a block of butter. When it comes to their victims, cats make no distinction. Anyway, it was recently revealed that one unhappy Twitter user’s cat had been licking the stick of butter that she and her spouse had left outside in typical ‘European’ style.
